Global Gourmet

Mr. Boris Seljak is a classically trained chef and proprietor of Sacramento Global Gourmet Catering. Mr. Seljak received his culinary education in Belgrade, Serbia. In his thirty-year career, he provided fine dining for hotels and restaurants in both Europe and the United States. His caterings range from private dinner parties to large-scale events. In addition to being a chef, he was previously the Kitchen Director at a private high school serving over 1,000 students and staff. Mr. Seljak currently resides in Citrus Heights, California with his family and can be reached at bseljak@comcast.net.

San Juan Hospitality and Culinary Arts

Talented culinary arts students under the direction of Director Brent Boultinghouse. They are available for event catering, and the Foundation is happy to provide these students with both professional experiences and grant funding for the Academy.  The school’s Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation pathway is made up of four integrated sequential courses that lead to entry-level job opportunities, a community college technical preparation certificate or Associate of Arts degree, or a four-year university degree.

Le Grand Confectionary

Starting in the villages and vineyards of Portugal, winemaking has been a Carvalho family tradition. Today, Carvalho Family Winery continues that tradition as an ultra-premium winery, dedicated to the production of small-lot, hand-crafted California wines using grapes from the Clarksburg appellation and other high-quality vineyards throughout California. Karmere Vineyards & Winery

Karmere's sixty-seven acres of estate grown vines are grown in the rich Sierra Nevada decomposed granite soils of Amador county, on gentle slopes of 1300 feet to 1600 feet elevation. The combination of well-managed vines and well drained hillsides restricts vigor producing two to four tons of grapes per acre. The cool summer nights and hot days are ideal for producing robust red wines.  Vineyards are sustainably farmed meaning that organic practices are used except rare conditions where only the benign chemical treatments are employed. Integrated Pest Management practices are employed. As a result of these practices, Karmere is proud to achieve ecologically balanced vineyards. Enjoy their exclusive hand-crafted wines in a tasting room located in a beautiful French-style chateau. 

Miraflores Winery

Miraflores has a stunning 252-acre property with 45 planted acres of 16 different grape varietals. Their renowned winemaker, Marco Cappelli, brings his old world experience and knowledge from wine making in France and Italy to the table while integrating unique and modern wine making styles.  The winery has created a space of old world Mediterranean style blended with the beauty of California’s gold country, decorating with collected pieces from all over the world.                                                                   

Moniz Family Wines

The premise of Moniz Family Winery, for over thirty years, has been to produce boutique wines from the Napa and Sonoma wine districts with affordable prices. These wines are made with the intent to over-deliver on quality and achieve a great value. Our main focus is on two of our Cabernet Sauvignon blends, Cuvee Alexandra and Cuvee Olivia, named for our two daughters.

Oak Ridge Winery

Oak Ridge Winery is Lodi’s oldest operating winery, which was
founded in 1934 as a winemaking cooperative of local growers.
 In 2002 the Maggio and Reynolds families purchased the winery,
 and during the last twelve years a historical landmark has been 
transformed into a state-of-the-industry winery. Oak Ridge Winery is
 situated between the Sierra Nevada Foothills and the San Francisco 
Bay. The uniquely Mediterranean climate, warm days and coastal evening breezes, is ideal for the cultivation of world-class wine grapes. California’s top varietal thrives here, with Zinfandel being the singular phenomenon. We have some vines that are over 125 years old; these vines produce small yields of intense flavor fruit to create wines that are the ultimate expression of the terrior.

Sean Minor

Our wines come from premium vineyard sites strategically located near the cool marine influences of the sun filled California coast. With each new vintage, we offer wines of consistent flavor and exceptional quality from vineyards perfectly suited to each particular varietal. In order for a wine to be considered it must exude the characteristics of the grape variety, and then of its chosen vineyard site within a specifically selected appellation. 

Skinner Vineyards

Skinner Vineyards and Winery was established in 2006, but founder Mike Skinner has ties to the region’s
 winemaking past. His ancestors started one of the 
region’s first commercial wineries in 1861 and planted 
Rhône varieties such as Grenache and Carignane, both
 of which Skinner still grows today in his two vineyards.
 Located in the Sierra Foothills, Skinner Vineyards 
believes in the importance of treating the environment
 with respect – that’s why the winery is solar-powered and constructed from 80% recycled steel. “We integrate sustainable practices whenever we can, from reducing pesticide use and clearing brush with our resident goat herd, to protecting and preserving the animal habitat in the vineyards. “

Hoppy Brewery

In an attempt to carve out a niche in the growing microbrewery market, we decided to distinguish ourselves from the competition by providing the consumer with an easily identifiable package that was unlike anything previously seen in the industry, along with a traditional style of beer (India Pale Ale – IPA) that had not been readily available to consumers for quite some time. We believe this style of beer tends to attract those consumers who are currently drinking hand-crafted pale ales, and who are looking for a fuller-bodied “more mouth feel” type of beer to drink. This train of thought has proven to be an asset to our company, and has been clearly evident from the enthusiasm generated by consumers over our company’s flagship product.
